Custom Gingerbread House

For a Commercial Christmas Project

We completed a highly anticipated gingerbread house installation project for our client, designed to transform a standard outdoor space into a visually engaging Christmas attraction.

The client’s expectation was clear: create a festive landmark that could immediately capture attention, encourage visitor interaction, and serve as a central photo point within the holiday setup. Based on this goal, we developed a solution that combined themed design, structural stability, and interactive experience.

From Concept to Realization

Starting from the client’s initial concept, we carried out a detailed analysis of the installation environment, including space layout, visitor flow, and nighttime visibility.

Based on this, we designed and executed a complete gingerbread house installation, covering structural planning, material selection, lighting layout, and final on-site assembly. The project was delivered as a fully integrated installation rather than separate decorative elements.

Our focus was to ensure that the final structure not only matched the visual expectation but also performed reliably in a real commercial environment.

Feature: Walk-Through Gingerbread House Structure

The core of the project is a large-scale gingerbread house installation designed with a walk-through structure. This allows visitors to enter and interact with the installation instead of simply viewing it from the outside.

This type of design significantly enhances engagement. Visitors naturally move toward the structure, pass through it, and use it as a photo backdrop, increasing both dwell time and overall activity within the space.

Compared with traditional static decorations, a walk-through installation creates a more immersive experience and delivers stronger visual impact in commercial environments.

Structural Design and Material Solution

To ensure long-term outdoor use, the internal structure was developed using a reinforced steel frame, providing strong support and resistance to environmental conditions.

The surface was finished with layered decorative materials to replicate the appearance of a traditional gingerbread house while maintaining durability and safety. Integrated LED lighting was distributed evenly across the structure, creating a warm and consistent illumination effect at night.

All materials were selected with outdoor performance in mind, including resistance to moisture, temperature variation, and long-term exposure.

Lighting Design for Nighttime Attraction

Lighting plays a key role in this project. Instead of relying on a single light source, we designed a layered lighting system to enhance depth and visibility.

Warm lighting tones were used to match the gingerbread theme while ensuring the structure remains visually appealing in different viewing conditions. This approach helps the installation stand out at night without creating excessive brightness.

The result is a balanced lighting effect that supports both atmosphere and practical use in public spaces.

Built for Outdoor Performance

Since the installation is intended for outdoor use, we placed strong emphasis on durability and safety.

The structure was engineered to withstand rain, cold temperatures, and long operating periods, ensuring stable performance throughout the entire holiday season.

Electrical components were arranged and protected to meet outdoor usage requirements, reducing maintenance needs and ensuring safe operation during public use.
